Resource Crate System Guide

The Resource Crate is a custom system that allows you to store and manage large amounts of crafting materials in one place. It integrates seamlessly into the crafting menu and offers powerful filtering, depositing, and withdrawing features.

Overview

Resource Crates act as centralized stockpiles for crafting resources. Players can toggle the use of a crate directly from the crafting gump. When enabled, crafting will pull materials from the crate instead of the player's backpack (as long as the crate is nearby).

Features

  • Craft directly from a nearby crate
  • Supports toggling crate use via the crafting gump
  • Automatically tracks and displays available resource amounts
  • Advanced filtering system (Ore, Wood, Leather, Reagents, Scrolls, etc.)
  • Pagination and sorting (by name or most recent)
  • Deposit single items or auto-deposit all valid resources
  • Withdraw specific amounts of a resource

Using a Resource Crate

Acquiring a Crate

  • Crates are usually obtainable from a vendor or as a special reward.
  • Once placed in your house or near your character, double-click to open the crate gump.

Depositing Resources

  1. Double-click the crate to open the **Resource Crate Gump**.
  2. Click Add Item and target a resource in your backpack.
  3. Alternatively, click Add All and target yourself or a container to deposit all valid resources.

Withdrawing Resources

  1. Find the resource you want in the crate gump list.
  2. Click the Withdraw button next to it.
  3. A popup will appear asking how many you want to withdraw.
  4. Type a number and press enter to confirm.

Crafting From a Crate

  1. Open the crafting menu using any valid tool (e.g., hammer, sewing kit).
  2. At the bottom-left of the crafting gump, you'll see a crate button:
 * If no crate is selected: it will say Disabled (Not Ready).
 * If a crate is selected but out of range: it will say Enabled (Out of Range).
 * If a crate is selected and ready: it will say Enabled (Ready).
  1. Click the button to toggle usage or to select a crate.
  2. When active and in range, the crafting system will use materials from the crate instead of your backpack.

Filtering View

  • Use the bottom icons to filter items by category:
 * Reagents
 * Ingots & Ore
 * Logs & Boards
 * Scrolls & Scroll Materials
 * Cloth & Leather
 * Miscellaneous
 * All

Additional Notes

  • Resource Crates can only be used if they are within 4 tiles of the player.
  • If the selected crate is deleted or moved out of range, it will automatically be deselected.
  • Auto-deposit of commodity deeds is supported and can be toggled inside the gump (if enabled server-side).
  • Sorting can be toggled between name and most recently added.

Troubleshooting

  • If the crate does not appear usable, ensure it is within 4 tiles and not deleted.
  • Players can click the crate toggle in the crafting gump to reset their selection.
