- One of the eight Virtues in the Virtue System
- A Shrine located at 100°50'N, 7°55'W
The Virtue of Compassion
Represented by a heart on the Virtue Gump, Compassion allows characters to resurrect others with a percentage of their max hit points restored — a powerful benefit in both PvM and PvP scenarios.
Resurrection Bonus by Virtue Level
- Seeker of Compassion (Level 1): 20% HP restored
- Follower of Compassion (Level 2): 40% HP restored
- Knight of Compassion (Level 3): 80% HP restored
Applies to resurrections via Magery or Healing.
Gaining Compassion
Compassion is gained by completing:
- NPC Escort Quests (500 gold reward)
- NPC Prisoner Rescues from brigand/orc/lizardman camps (roughly double progress)
Progress is tracked via 10 dots per level in the Virtue Gump. You can gain from up to 5 NPCs per 24 hours; after this, a cooldown message appears, though escorts can still be done for gold.
Progress Estimation
- Level 1 (Seeker): ~2 prisoner rescues per dot
- Level 2 (Follower): ~3 prisoner rescues per dot
- Level 3 (Knight): ~4 prisoner rescues per dot
The Shrine of Compassion
Located at 100°50'N, 7°55'W, the shrine features a named Ankh that allows:
- Resurrection
- Karma locking
