Sacrifice
From UO-Phoenix Wikipedia
Sacrifice
Defined as the courage to give of oneself in the name of love, Sacrifice is:
- One of the eight Virtues in the Virtue System
- Represented by a Shrine located east of Minoc
The Virtue of Sacrifice
Represented by a teardrop on the Virtue Gump, Sacrifice allows characters to:
- Self-resurrect a limited number of times per week, depending on their Sacrifice level.
Self-Resurrection Ability
By activating Sacrifice upon death:
- The character is resurrected on the spot with full health, mana, and stamina.
- The number of self-resurrections per week depends on the Sacrifice level:
* Seeker of Sacrifice: 1 resurrection per week * Follower of Sacrifice: 2 resurrections per week * Knight of Sacrifice: 3 resurrections per week
This ability is especially useful for adventurers venturing into dangerous areas without nearby healers.
Gaining Sacrifice
To progress in Sacrifice:
- Sacrifice your Fame to redeem certain evil creatures.
- Eligible creatures include:
* Demons * Enslaved Gargoyles * Evil Mages * Gargoyle Enforcers * Liches * Succubi
- The creature must be at full health and within line of sight.
- Sacrificing Fame to these creatures causes them to vanish and grants progress in the Sacrifice Virtue.
- The amount of progress gained depends on the amount of Fame sacrificed:
* Sacrificing approximately 10,000 Fame grants about 30% progress toward the next level. * Sacrificing 15,000 Fame (the maximum) grants about 50% progress toward the next level.
Note: You must have a minimum amount of Fame (likely around 4,000) to perform a sacrifice.
